HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME
BREAKING: My Birthday Gift – To Distribute 1,000 Malaria Diagnostic Equipment To 1,000 Hospitals and Diagnostic Centers Across Africa!
Despite advances in diagnostic technology, significant gaps remain in access to malaria diagnosis. Accurate diagnosis and misdiagnosis lead to unnecessary waste of resources, poor disease management, and contributes to a cycle of poverty in low-resourced communities. Despite much effort and investment, few new technologies have reached the field in the last 30 years aside from lateral flow assays. This suggests that much diagnostic development effort has been misdirected, and/or that there are fundamental blocks to introduction of new technologies.
In 1999, Dr Olugu Ukpai was misdiagnosed with cerebral malaria (CB) during his final year undergraduate program at the University. He was advised to withdraw in his best interest to go and take care of his health. Except for the intervention of an experienced medical Doctor, he would have joined his ancestors, perhaps. In 2006, Dr. Ukpai lost his 16-month-old daughter, “Goodness” needlessly to malaria. “Goodness” was misdiagnosed with malaria after 8 days of hospitalization. Her death broke his heart but exposed the huge gap in the malaria diagnostic industry in Africa.
Instead of breaking down, Dr. Ukpai vowed to close the gap in the diagnostic industry. Today, we are proud to announce that his 17 years of intensive and unwavering research (2006-2023) with partners for a solution has paid off and led to the partnership that has produced a globally celebrated malaria diagnostic equipment and has received World Health Organization’s approval.
His Company, Goodness, and Mercy Best (GMB) Pharmaceuticals is the sole official distributor and marketer of the equipment across Africa. Daymond John was right that “Life is like business, 20% of what happens to you is 80% of how you react”.
To mark our CEO’s birthday, on behalf of the global management team and partners of GMB Pharmaceuticals, we are proud to announce today that we will be distributing 1,000 of this latest malaria diagnostic equipment to 1,000 qualified hospitals and diagnostic centers across Africa. They must demonstrate to carry out at least between 1,000 and above malaria tests per month.
Kindly share this post and tag hospitals, diagnostics, and medical Doctors you know across Africa. I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become. Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…It’s about learning to dance in the rain.
NB: Once you have shared, ask every question on this thread and private messages may not be responded to. The distribution shall be done without favoritism. To learn more about the malaria diagnostic equipment, visit https://youtu.be/z1UN–Tstso?feature=shared
