In a remarkable display of medical expertise and philanthropy, 35-year-old Godwin Sunday has regained his sight after undergoing a 100% free surgery during the annual CHAMA medical invasion.
The successful operation was performed by CHAMA’s excellent and brilliant medical team and volunteer, who are being hailed as “world changers” for their selfless service.
Godwin’s transformation is a testament to the power of kindness and the impact of medical interventions on people’s lives. As he joyfully exclaimed, “I was blind, but now I can see!”
CHAMA’s mission is rooted in the biblical verse, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free” (Lk 4:18).
This heartwarming story is a reminder that with faith and determination, nothing is impossible. As the CHAMA team affirms, “To God be the glory! What God cannot do does not exist, and impossible is nothing with God.”
