On the occasion of his birthday and appreciation to God for adding one more year to the life of Pastor Chima, the CEO of CHAMA, Dr. Olugu Ukpai wrote:
HELP ME CELEBRATE A MENTOR OF OVER 25 YEARS AND STILL COUNTING!
A mentor is someone who has the power to speak into your life without your permission! He’s someone who has a genuine heart and interests in your well-being. He’s in your life as your guardian Angel to make sure you doesn’t take a needless fall. However, if you take an inevitable fall, he’s there to pick you without judging you.
Most importantly, he’s a spiritual liason, a spiritual arson, praying for you and teaching you how to pray so that even when henot there, you do not run out of oil.
During my undergraduate University days, Pastor Chima will drove to the University and pick me in his car to go and fast and pray. He will drove me to a distance of 4 hours and we will have dry fasting for 3 days or two depending on if it were weekend or holiday period.
He taught me the the practical meaning of “men ought to pray and not to faint”. Today, l am what l am, doing what am doing, relying absolutely on the wings of prayer through his mentorship. When the going is tough, l will remember the practical words of Pastor Chima that “men ought to prayqnd not to faint”.
I am celebrating Pastor Chima today because for 25 years and still counting, he’s still standing by me in all seasons.
Now that he’s still strong to read me, l wanted to take a moment to appreciate and celebrate him for seeing what l couldn’t see 25 years ago. I didn’t see today but he saw it and practically taught me right how to keep going when the going is tough – the best gift of my life – PRAYER and absolute TRUST in God and not man because man can FAIL but God CANNOT FAIL.
Warriors, help me celebrate Pastor Chima by wish him a glorious birthday.
