CHAMA OHAFIA INTERVENTION – SHE RECEIVED FREE EYE SURGERY FOR GOODNESS SAKE

She is from Ebem Ohafia but I can’t even remember her name. I know her daughter Grace is a CHAMA volunteer warrior. I got a distress phone call from Ibem Onwuka Ibem saying –

“My fianceès mother is almost going blind. The only gift I am asking from you is to please help me so that she can be able to see well again. I want her to be able to see my children when I eventually marry her daughter.”

I was touched deeply. I remembered the story of blind Bathemeous. I remember his passionate plea saying “Son of David, have mercy on me!. So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called” (Mark 10: 46-52).

Although it was not yet time for our annual medical mission. I couldn’t just ignore that distress call. Like Jesus, I directed that she be taken to one of CHAMA’s ophthalmologists where she underwent a successful eye surgery 100% FREE for Goodness Sake.

Although it’s difficult, but we now appreciate God for taking the life of our little Angel – Goodness in whose honour CHAMA was started to set people free from all manner of sicknesses and sufferings through the name of Jesus Christ.

Genesis 50:20 says:

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”

According to the World Health Organization, an estimated 253 million people live with vision impairment: 36 million are blind and 217 million have moderate to severe vision impairment. Think about it for a second, that’s more than twice the population of our country, the Philippines.

This couldn’t have been possible without the sacrificial selfless services of our volunteer warrior team from around the globe helping others for Goodness sake.

CALL FOR PARTNERSHIP
We will appreciate your prayers and partnership with CHAMA in sharing Goodness with the needy like this woman. We receive so many distress calls and messages daily. The rising demand comes with its own challenges. It is hard to walk away or close eyes at people’s pains for Goodness sake.
